Postdoc Position in Computational Biology and Single-Cell Genomics

The laboratory of Dr. Jian Zhou at UT Southwestern Medical Center is recruiting a postdoctoral research fellow in the areas of computational biology and single-cell genomics. Our lab studies computational genomics by developing and applying machine learning and statistical methods for the analysis of large-scale genomic data.  For this position, we are looking for a candidate who will develop and apply novel single-cell genomic data analysis methods. Other potential research directions include deep learning approaches for understanding genome regulation, protein structure, and genome evolution.  Interested candidates can find more information from our lab website on zhoulab.io. The lab is well funded by multiple funding sources including NIH DP2, CPRIT, and UTSW Endowed Scholar fund.

Ideal candidates should have Ph.D. or equivalent degrees in Computer Science, Computational Biology, Statistics, Engineering or a related field at the expected start time and have a strong computational background. Previous research experience in genomics or machine learning is preferred. For strong candidates with either computational or biology background, extensive knowledge of the other field is not required. Interested applicant should submit your CV, a brief description of your previous work and your future research interests and arrange for a list of two or three references to be sent to [email protected]
