Candidates should hold a PhD in chemistry, electrical engineering, materials science, chemical engineering, physics, or a closely related field, have a strong publication record, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a record of successful teamwork.

The LITES initiative is interdisciplinary in nature, and is led by Dr. Jeffrey Maranchi (Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL)), Prof. Sara Thoi (JHU Chemistry), and Prof. Susanna Thon (JHU Electrical & Computer Engineering). The fellow is expected to split their time between APL, the nation’s largest university-affiliated research center, and JHU. Ideal candidates will have interest and experience in chemical synthesis, optoelectronic devices, integrated prototype photovoltaic/battery systems, and/or electrochemical devices.  Candidates should be highly motivated to work on challenging problems with the end goal of benefitting society through research and implementation of clean, renewable, and sustainable energy technologies. ROSEI is strongly committed to diversity, and welcomes applicants who are committed to promoting diversity and inclusion in our community. U.S. citizens are preferred.

If you are interested, please email Prof. Sara Thoi ([email protected]) with a brief statement of interest, CV, and the names of three references. You are welcome to reach out with any questions.
