Postdoctoral researcher in Mathematics (Geometry)

The Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine (FSTM) contributes multidisciplinary expertise in the fields of Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences and Medicine. Through its dual mission of teaching and research, the FSTM seeks to generate and disseminate knowledge and train new generations of responsible citizens, in order to better understand, explain and advance society and environment we live in.

Develop independent research and participate in a research project on the geometry of convex domains in hyperbolic manifolds.  Limited participation in the teaching missions of the Mathematics Department (at most 70h/year). Participation in the research activities of the Mathematics department (seminars, reading groups, etc).

Candidates should have a recent PhD (to be obtained at the beginning of the contract)  and excellent

research potential with research interests in low-dimensional geometry and topology, geometric analysis, or related areas  in mathematics or possibly mathematical physics. Experience in hyperbolic geometry, Teichmüller theory, geometric analysis, or the study of geometric structures or representations varieties is a plus.

Knowledge of English is required, French or German will be considered a plus.
