About this event

Causeway Education & University of Wolverhampton are hosting a series offree, monthly, virtual lunchtime events to support the launch of the PG Cert and provide a light touch CPD opportunity for all those interested in WP.

For our festive finale, we're asking YOU to submit solutions to the biggest challenges facing widening access to HE, and let the audience and a panel of diverse, revered judges decide which solutions could prove most powerful…

We'd love to hear your ideas! Submit them here: https://forms.office.com/r/k88UjAvQQE. The deadline for submitting ideas is 19:00 on Tuesday 30 November.

The session will take place on Zoom and a link will be sent to all those who have registered in due course.

Utilising blended (on & offline) delivery, the Post Graduate Certificate (PG Cert) in Access, Outreach & Social Mobility (WP) will:

  • Deliver a new, sector leading qualification that supports the development needs of middle leaders/aspiring middle leader teachers; WP practitioners in FE/HE or HE access social enterprises/charities; professionals working in CSR/HR/Early Careers/L&D and IAG leads seeking to specialise in HE access.

  • Provide a professional learning environment that promotes networking and the sharing of best practice amongst participants from across the education sector.

  • Provide content and assessments that encourage inclusive, WP focused learning and teaching and enable participants to be reflective in their current practice.

  • Cover the key topics of contemporary WP policy and UK historical context; effective teaching and learning strategies for a diverse cohort; evaluation and measurable impact; cross-sector best practice; pre and post-recruitment considerations; economics and financial implications, and the future of WP.
