Taster lecture

Professor Alistair Brandon-Jones

In times of uncertainty, the importance of understanding your customers’ mindset is more critical than ever. Professor Alistair Brandon-Jones, co-author of one of the world’s leading portfolio of Operations and Supply Chain Management textbooks, will share his enthusiasm and insights into this fascinating area of business life. The latest edition of Operations and Process Management was published this year.

In this session, Professor Alistair Brandon-Jones will discuss ways in which organisations can:

  1. ‘deconstruct’ their product and service offerings
  2. identify key operational improvement priorities
  3. understand sources of gaps between customer expectations and perceptions of service
  4. re-think their approaches to customer failure and complaints

Sample live teaching by joining this online taster lecture.

Join this session if you are interested in our MSc programmes.

Bring your learning to life and solve real business problems with the MSc Practice Track. This summer group project is an alternative to the traditional dissertation. It provides an opportunity for you to gain practical experience, develop skills that employers value and enhance your CV.

You’ll learn more about this option at our event and hear from a recent graduate about their experience.

Event 3: MBA Summer projects and internships

11:15 - 11:45 (GMT+1)

Join this session if you are interested in our MBA and learn more about our MBA Summer Projects and post-programme internships. Our MBA Group Projects are a direct way for students to apply the latest academic learning to practical challenges, often working with multinational corporate organisations. The post-programme internships provide an opportunity to gain valuable work experience, perhaps in a new sector or field.

We’ll be joined by a member of the Bath MBA community who will share their experience of both initiatives during the session.
