Applications are invited for a Temporary 18 month post of a UCD Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 or 2 within UCD School of Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering This position is part of a research collaboration between UCD Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering and Bristol Myers-Squibb in the area of Downstream Biopharmaceutical Processing.
The collaboration aims to
combine, multi-scale modelling (process simulation & CFD), advanced
analytics, proteomics and fabrication of highly engineered R&D
platforms via 3D-printing, to advance quantitative and digital design
principles in biopharmaceutical DSP development and manufacturing. The
successful candidate will have the opportunity to take on a leadership
position in terms of modelling and simulation within the
multidisciplinary team of chemical and biochemical engineers,
biochemists, and analytical scientists. This is a research focused role,
where you will conduct a specified programme of research supported by
research training and development under the supervision and direction of
a Principal Investigator. The primary purpose of the role is to further
develop your research skills and competences, including the processes
of publication in peer-reviewed academic publications, the development
of funding proposals, the mentorship of graduate students along with the
opportunity to develop your skills in research led teaching. PD1 Salary: €38,631 - €44,658 per annum Or PD2 Salary: €45,942 per annumAppointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience. Closing date: 17:00hrs (local Irish time) on 23rd November 2021Applications
