About this eventAre you planning or in the process to look for a job and move to Europe? Whether you hold European passport or not, EURAXESS is here to help!
EURAXESS is a pan-European initiative delivering information and support services to professional researchers and entrepreneurs. Backed by the European Union, it supports researcher mobility and career development, allows universities and businesses to find the right talent, while enhancing research collaboration between Europe and the world.
During this event, Jackson Howard, Regional Coordinator, will present EURAXESS North America and give an overview of all the resources available to promote researcher mobility and cooperation to researchers of all nationalities, all disciplines, and at all career stages in the United States and Canada. Other useful initiatives will also be touched upon such as EURAXESS North America support to the European scientific diasporas in North America, the organization of frequent info sessions on European funding opportunities, trainings to support career development, and more.
Dr Magdalena Wislocka, head of EURAXESS Ireland, will present the missions of a Europe-based EURAXESS while describing more specifically the initiatives led by EURAXESS-Ireland. Based at the Irish Universities Association, and co-funded by the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, EURAXESS Ireland provides tailored and free advice to researchers and their families coming to work or study in Ireland. EURAXESS Ireland manages a fast-track scientific visa scheme for non-EU researchers relocating to Ireland to pursue their research careers.
After this info session, participants will be able to discuss with this event’s panelist and ask more detailed questions.
