Two Post-Doctoral Jobs in Maize Reproductive Biology in Germany

The Dresselhaus lab seeks two highly motivated post-doctoral researchers (m/f/d) to work in the field of maize reproductive biology. The positions (100% TV-L E13 salary) could be extended and offer the possibility to further qualify as independent principal investigators. Both positions are available immediately.

Within the DFG-funded Research Unit Cereal Stem Cell Systems (CSCS), which consists of 10 partners, Position #1 shall investigate the establishment of embryonic stem cell niches in maize.

Position #2 is part of the DFG-Research Unit ICIPS (Innovation and Coevolution in Plant Sexual Reproduction) with 7 partners and shall study the evolution of gametophytic communication systems by analyzing RALF and ROS signaling using maize and Physcomitrium as model systems. Your profile:

• A PhD in plant molecular and/or cellular biology or related field;
• At least one first-author original research publication;
• You take initiative and like to take over responsibilities;
• You work independently, but search for co-operations and are a team player;
• You have excellent communication skills and speak English fluently.
