Early-Career Researcher Event associated with the British Feeding and Drinking Group (BFDG) annual conference 2022. Held online via Zoom.

About this event

This year’s virtual Early-Career Researcher Event will be held on Tuesday 12th April from 12:45-17:45 (BST) with networking socials either side. Using a mixture of small-group breakout rooms, panel discussions, and presentations by guest speakers, we will cover a variety of fundamental topics within academia, such as supervising research projects, as well as exploring how the field of eating behaviour research has changed and where it is headed. We will also be hosting a fun social on either side of the event to facilitate networking. For more details, please see our official programme below.

Please note that attendance of all 3 sessions is not mandatory - you will be asked to indicate which parts of the day you are interested in attending on the registration form.

The same zoom link will be used for the coffee morning, main event, and evening social event.

This ECR workshop is for postgraduate research students and early-career academics in the field of eating behaviour or nutrition. Delegates may hold positions such as: PhD researcher, Research Associate, Research/Teaching Fellow, Lecturer, and other similar positions commensurate with the early-career stage.

14:00 - 15:15: ‘Masterclass in Research’ - how the field has developed and where it is heading

A short quiz and chance to socialise with other ECRs over a drink or supper!
