Dr. Jasmine Virhia
Dr. Jasmine Virhia has recently completed a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience at Royal Holloway, University of London where she used fMRI to re-examine a longstanding theory of verbal short-term memory. Jasmine’s “pathway to a PhD” talk covers her transition from an Arts/Humanities background (BA in Literature and Linguistics) into the sciences (MSc in Linguistics and Neuroscience at UCL) as well as applying for and completing her doctoral study. Jasmine will discuss the obstacles she faced, the solutions she came up with, and how she stayed motivated throughout this journey!
