The AMSR group invites you to to discuss their diverse range of research and the practice-led modes of inquiry it embraces.
The Active Material System Research (AMSR) led by Professor Veronika Kapsali,
invite you to join them for a short presentation and round table
discussion on the diverse range of research encapsulated by the group
and the practice-led modes of inquiry it embraces.
The AMSR group studies the design, implementation and impact of textile-based material systems with spatial and temporal properties as they intersect the digital and physical spaces. The group was set up in 2019 to advance practice-led research that intersects textile design + STEM disciplines and inform new curriculum for the School of Design and Technology, LCF and wider UAL.
The group is composed of research, academic and technical members
of staff from across UAL in addition to PhD students and Post-Doctoral
Research assistants. We practice an inclusive approach to research
enriched by contributions from all stakeholders.
Speakers will be invited to present before an opportunity for Q&A, which will be chaired by Professor Veronika Kapsali andDr Michèle Danjoux.
